New poem from an extremely talented young writer on Danny world. Titled “Breathe” Read away!

 

I hope that you are humble

I hope that you are selfless, that you place others before yourself

I hope that you give more of yourself than you give of your possessions

I hope that you live to serve others

I hope that you exist to help others

I hope that you’re not power hungry

But

I pray earnestly that you understand that going for what you want doesn’t make you selfish,

Know that even Batman has to take off the mask on some days just to breathe.

It’s okay to put down the world once in a while,  even superman needs Clark Kent

So, smile and breathe love

The world’s going nowhere
and neither are you.

  3. I think that sometimes we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of life and the toxicity of social media that we forget ourselves and we get choked up. The poem is an advocate of taking some time apart to relax, reevaluate and strategize. Batman doesn’t ever go in headfirst.

  8. Nice poem. It’s easy to get carried away with the world and forget yourself. It’s love your neighbor as yourself not love your neighbor and forget yourself. When u pay attention to yourself too, u have more to offer others
