TEN MOST ANTICIPATED MOVIES THIS JUNE


Today on Danny world, we’ll be looking at the top 10 movies for the month of June. We can say 2017 have been an interesting year thus far with blockbusters like Resident evil: The final chapter, Logan, John wick 2, Power Rangers, Fate Of The Furious and Guardians Of The Galaxy 2 hitting our screens. With these movies already grossing millions of dollars just half way into the year, we are certainly in for another thrilling month. Again, some of the biggest Hollywood stars collide for this month’s epic big screen action.

Jamie Foxx [Annie], Mark Wahlberg [Ted], Bruce Willis [Looper, Unbreakable, Die Hard, RED] Tom Cruise [Edge Of Tomorrow,Mission Impossible Top Gun], Chris Pine [Star Trek] and a host of other stars this month. Of course, we’ll be seeing the return of “Despicable Me” as the 3rd volume drops this June. A lot for the animation fans to cheer no doubt. Also, fans are on the look out for the return of “The Mummy”, “Transformers: The Last Knight” and DC’s most anticipated “Wonder Woman” which has got everyone talking. June couldn’t have gotten any more bigger. We bring you the top 10 movies you must see this month;

• 47 METERS DOWN

Starring Mandy Moore and our favourite original vampire Claire Holt (Rebecca) and directed by Johannes Roberts. The film narrates the story of two sisters who are on vacation in Mexico as Lisa (Mandy Moore) is trying to get over a break up and her daring sister Kate (Claire Holt) suggests they go shark diving with some locals. When underwater in a protective cage, Lisa and Kate get a once in a life time look at the great majestic whites but hell breaks loose when their cage breaks away from the boat and Lisa and Kate find themselves falling into the sea floor without radio and with oxygen running out. The movie is set to be released on the 16th of June.

• ONCE UPON A TIME IN VENICE

Set to also be released on the 16th of June, the movie stars all time classic actor Bruce Willis alongside John Goodman and Jason Mamoa. The story tells the tale of a Venice beach PI who is good with the ladies, bad with the punches and wild about his dog but when his Dog is stolen by local thugs, he has to team up with his best friend to search for the stolen cocaine of local leader in order to set things straight and be reunited with his dog. The movie is directed by Mark Cullen.

• BABY DRIVER

Starring Ansel Elgort, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey and Lily James. The movie is brought to you by Sony pictures and directed by Edgar Wright. It tells the story of a young talented getaway driver who relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be one of the best in the game but when he meets the girl of his dreams, Ansel has to try and ditch his old life of crime. But, after being forced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey) his life maybe doomed as the heist threatens his life, love and freedom. The movie is set to be released on the 28th of June

• ROUGH NIGHT

A dramedy that tells the story of five best friends reunited ten years after college for a wild bachelorette weekend in Miami. But the movie takes a hilarious turn when they accidentally kill a male stripper and try to cover it up which ends up bringing them even more closer. Starring Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Jillian Bell, Iliana Glazer and Zoe Kravitz. Directed by Lucia Aniello and brought to you by Sony Pictures. The movie is set to be released on the 16th of June.

• CARS 3

After the previous volume of this amazing animation was released in 2011, fans thought that the last they were going to see from the “Cars” franchise. Apparently, Walt Disney had other ideas as they return with another sequel 6 years after and this time lightning McQueen (voiced by Owen Wilson) is up against a new generation of blazing Fast cars and he is suddenly pushed out of the sport.

He then has to go and seek the help of an eager young race technician who dreams of winning and along with some unexpected twists and turns, lightning McQueen would have to be tested on piston cup racing biggest stage. The movie is directed by Brian fee and is set to be released on the 16th of June.

• THE HOUSE

Brought to you by Warner Bros Pictures, Starring Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Jason Mantzoukas, directed by Andrew Jay Cohen. The story begins when Scott and Kate Johanssen lose their daughters college fund, they are in dire need of money and with the help of their neighbour, they begin an illegal casino in the basement of his house to try and raise money for their daughters college. The movie is set to be released on the 30th of June, 2017.

• THE MUMMY 4

Universal pictures is set for big screen action as “The Mummy” returns. The new version of the Mummy will be starring the likes of Tom cruise, Russell Crowe and Sofia Boutella. This is sure going to be a thrilling blockbuster this month. Movie is directed by Alex kurtzman and set to be released on the 9th of June. The movie tells the tale of an ancient Queen whose destiny was taken unjustly from her and is now awaken bringing with her spite that has grown over a millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

• DESPICABLE ME 3

Brought to you again you by universal pictures and illumination entertainment. The movie is set to be released on the 30th of June. Certainly, fans who’s seen the past two volumes know they’re in for a hilarious ride as “Despicable Me” returns to the big screen. The movie follows the life of Gru, Lucy and their three adopted adorable daughters (Margo, Edith and Agnes). It also brings us the much audience loved Minion characters. Voices by Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig and lots more.

• TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

Directed by Michael bay and brought to you by Paramount pictures and DreamWorks media. This movie is set for release on the 21st of June. This is the fourth volume from the “Transformers” franchise and it stars Mark Wahlberg, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Laura Haddock. In this volume, Optimus prime seems to be dead and the humans and transformers are in a war and the key to saving our future lies in the past.

• WONDER WOMAN

Now to our number one movie for the month. Already in cinemas, the highly anticipated DC comic “Wonder Woman”. Starring Hollywood sexy Gal Gadot and American heart throb Chris Pine, “Wonder Woman” tells us the epic tale of a young woman raised on the mythical island of Themyscira and taught by Amazonian women whose long bestowed destiny has to be when her home and the world at large is in peril.

She has to leave her home and go to the outside world for the first time and try to be the hero the world needs. We may have gotten a brief glimpse of Wonder woman in “Superman vs Batman: Dawn Of Justice” but I can assure you that we’re in for a real treat in this movie. A lot of buzz about this one and it’s already grossing six figures in the U.S box office. The movie is brought to you by Warner bros pictures and DC Entertainment.
