TRUMP WINS U.S ELECTIONS


The world is still in shock about Republican president-elect, Donald Trump who was declared winner at the polls moments ago. Trump won the battlegrounds picking up victories in Ohio, Florida and North Carolina. He had a 50.5% vote out of a 100 in North Carolina with a total of 15 electoral votes. In Ohio, the Republican had a 52.1% vote out of a possible 97.3% leaving his opposition Hilary Clinton with 43.5%.

In Florida, Trump won 49.1% of a 100 available with a 2.6% difference ahead of Democrat, Hilary Clinton. In a speech, given by the president-elect, Trump has this say on the podium after claiming victory at the New York headquarters today.

“Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division. It is time for us to come together as one united people.” he said.

Trump also admitted he had received congratulatory messages and calls from Clinton’s camp. He regarded the Democrat’s contest as a “hard fought campaign.” In his statement he said.

“She congratulated us and I congratulated her on a very very hard fought campaign. We owe her a major debt of gratitude to for her service to our country,” he said.

Hilary Clinton won the capital city Washington DC swooping 93% of a 100. She also won states like New York, New Jersey, Hawaii, Illinois, California and the likes but still wasn’t enough to pick up the victory. Trump needed 270 electoral votes to win but amassed a total of 276 electoral votes over Hilary’s 218. The total votes read.

Donald Trump – 58,036,714 votes (47.8%)

Hilary Clinton – 57,460,964 votes (47.4%)

This has surely got to be the most keenly contested U.S election ever. A big congratulations to the new U.S president-elect, Donald Trump who becomes the country’s 45th president.
