Then we quickly catch up on our week, and Naomie is excited (8:12) about the death of her high school teacher, whom she found out passed away this past week. Y’all need to hear this story. She held that grudge even in death! Then we move on to the question of the week (30:08), where Naomie poses the question, what’s a saying you’ve always had a problem with?
On the main portion (50:10) of the show, we discuss the societal norm of “Never Giving Up” and always “Chasing Your Goals” till the end. We critique the age-old idea, questioning when it is okay to let go of a dream (1:03:51) when it’s not working, learning the difference between quitting and pivoting, and maybe coming to the harsh terms (1:31:44) of perhaps you’re just not good enough.
