TOP TEN [10] MOVIES YOU MUST SEE THIS NOVEMBER


Indeed, 2016 has been an amazing year in the world of movies as box office records were smashed [Suicide Squad, Magnificent Seven, American Honey, Doctor Strange]. We also saw some of Hollywood’s biggest directors [Antoine Faqua, Dan Fogelman, Oliver Stones, Jared Hess, Mark Waters, Alan Taylor] and actors [Will Smith, Viola Davies, Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, Tom Hanks, Ryan Reynolds, Ben Affleck, Eddie Murphy, Anna Kendrick, Britt Roberts, Kate Hudson, Mila Kunis, Denzel Washington] in the game converge on set. November doesn’t seem to be any different.

Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” has amassed over $87million in it’s opening weekend and the fans are itching for this one. November also sees the return of stars like Brad Pitt, Kevin James, Justin Timberlake, Johnny Depp and our own Chiwetel Ejiofor [Half Of A Yellow Sun]. We’ll also be seeing the reboot of award winning author J.K Rollings’ work [Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them] being brought on the big screen. November has surely got everyone talking. So, without further ado, here is the top ten (10) movies you must see this November.

• ARRIVAL

The move is set to be released on the 11th of November. It sees the likes of Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner who never fails to bring his A-game on the big screen as well as the ever dynamic Forest Whitaker. “Arrival” centres on the arrival of a mysterious space crafts on earth. Amy Adams, is then charged to lead a group that would investigate the happenings that surrounds the arrival of extra terrestrial life forms.

• HACKSAW RIDGE

An early release this month which is set to be in cinemas on the 4th of November. “Hacksaw Ridge” is set in the period of WWII. It centres around Desmond Doss [Andrew Garfield] an army medic who saved the lives of 75 wounded soldiers near enemy lines without making use of a weapon due to his ideology that killing is wrong but war is just. This movie also features Vince Vaughn who has always got the magic touch.

• THE TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN

Kevin James is the man to watch in this highly anticipated dramedy. Kevin never fails to come to the party as in Paul Blart’s “Mall Cop”. In this movie, he plays an author who gets mistaken for an assassin when his book is published as a true story. Movie is set to be in cinemas on the 11th of November.

• ALLIED

Despite the fuss about his divorce troubles with A-list Angelina Jolie, fans are pleased to see Brad Pitt back on the big screen. “Allied” is set to be released on the 23rd of November. Brad Pitt plays an international spy whose past comes back to haunt him and this threatens his relationship with Marianne Beavsejour (played by Marion Corollary). Everyone has surely got their eyes on this one considering Brad’s recent scandals.

• TROLLS

A comedic animation set to be released on the 4th of November. It centres on over joyous and optimistic “Trolls” who are preyed on by the pessimistic “Bergens”, when the Bergens attack a village of trolls. It is up to a very happy troll and an overly cautious troll to save their friends. Voices to be played by Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Gwen Stefani and Russel brand. Animation fans are certainly gonna be looking out for this one.

• BAD SANTA 2

If you thought “Bad Santa” was hilarious, then roll up your sleeves for this one as director, Mark Waters is behind the scenes in what could be the most hilarious drama this November. Fans are certainly on the edge of their seats for this one. “Bad Santa 2” takes a look at the duo Willie Soke and Marcus [played by Billy Bob Thornton and Tony Cox] who go out to knock off a charity event on Christmas Eve joined by “A Kid”. The movie will also see the return of Kathy Bates. The movie is to be released on the 23rd of November. This is one comedy drama to enjoy with friends and family at the cinemas.

• MISS SLOANE

Europacorp’s “Miss Sloane” is on the big screen this month and director John Madden is behind the scenes in this amazing drama. “Miss Sloane” centres on “Elizabeth Sloane” [played by Jessica Chastian] is the most sought-after lobbyists in Washington DC. Sloane had always succeeded with her cases but when she’s faced with her most staggering case ever, she has to decide whether success is worth the price she’s about to pay. Movie is set to released on the 25th of November.

• MOANA

The animation fans will certainly be gearing for this one as highest paid actor Dwayne Johnson stars in what would be a reboot of the original. “Moana” is an ocean navigator that sets on a journey with her hero Maui, a demigod, to go find a lost island. The journey brings a lot of unexpected hurdles which also lead to some bonding experience between Moana and Maui. Movie is set to be released on the 23rd of Novermber. Voices to be played by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Auli’i Cravalho and Nicole Scherzinger. The kids are sure gonna love this one.

• FANTASTIC BEASTS & Where To Find Them

Fans are certainly excited to see stars like Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston and Dan Fogler starring in this much anticipated “Harry Potter” prequel “Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them” written by award winning author J. K. Rowlings. We also hear that award winning actor Johnny Depp has joined the casts for this one. Director, David Yates is known for his top notch production and “Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them” ain’t no different. The movie is a spin off to the famous and all time classic “HARRY POTTER”. It talks about the adventures of Newt Scamander in New York City and the escape of some of his beasts into the muffle world which leads to trouble for both the wizardiing and muffles world. The movie was budgeted a whooping $225m. Movie is set to be released on 18th of November.

• DOCTOR STRANGE

If DC thought “Suicide Squad” was smashing, Marvel’s saying they ain’t seen nothing yet. The movie has amassed a total of $87.7m in the box office only in it’s opening weekend. “Doctor Strange” indeed promises to be a hit and probably the most anticipated movie this month. Director, Scott Derrickson is behind the scenes in what could be the most talked about movie in 2016. The plot centres around a surgeon (played by Benedict Cumberbatch a reputable and benchmark actor) in New York who is involved in an accident and he loses his touch. Then, he comes across a healer in the Himalayas who teaches him about the psychic world and allows him battle the dark powers. Other stars to feature on this movie include the likes of Rachael Mcadams and our very own Chiwetel Ejiofor. There’s been a lot of fuss about this one and we hope lives up to the expectations. The release date is November 4th.
